Herefordshire in Touch

Led by Herefordshire Council and funded by Advantage West Midlands, Herefordshire In Touch (HIT) is a multi-sector initiative that aims to develop ICT within the county of Herefordshire.

A wide range of ICT projects have been developed including increased broadband coverage across the county, better access to information, advice and services plus support to residential, voluntary and business communities to become more engaged with ICT.

As part of the project a series of Community Access Points have been established across the county. The purpose of the CAP project is to provide accessible, secure and sustainable broadband facilities within rural communities. In addition to the broadband connection, local communities are provided with a package of IT equipment and software that is designed to meet their needs.
